Professor GS Anil Kumar

Chairman and Co-Founder

Professor GS Anil Kumar is a distinguished Consultant Anaesthetist at Basildon University Hospital, affiliated with the Mid and South Essex NHS Trust. Moreover, he holds the esteemed position of Professor and Dean at NVU - UK, associated with NVU Medical School in the Republic of Georgia.

With extensive expertise, Professor Kumar has held various senior management positions within the NHS, currently assuming the role of Clinical Director of Anaesthesia, Pain Management, and Theatres. 

In the private sector, Professor Kumar serves as the Medical Director for Lakeside Medical Diagnostics (LMDS) and Harley Street Hospitals and Healthcare (HHH) Limited, showcasing his commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare across multiple domains.

Throughout his illustrious career, Professor Kumar has remained deeply devoted to educating and training the next generation of anaesthesia professionals. He serves as a Final FRCA examiner for the Royal College of Anaesthetists, contributing significantly to the assessment and certification process.

Furthermore, Professor Kumar has co-authored a comprehensive book tailored to support candidates preparing for FRCA exams. This esteemed publication has garnered acclaim, receiving a Special Commendation in the BMA Book Awards, and stands as a testament to his dedication to advancing anaesthesia education and training.

Professor Rahat Khan 

MBBS, FRCOG, FRSPH

Managing director and Co-Founder

Professor Rahat Khan is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of experience in the NHS. She is a qualified, trained and highly experienced appraiser with in-depth knowledge of medical appraisals and route to revalidation. She is one of the co-founders of appraisals4doctors and dedicated to make the appraisal process high quality, personalised and stress-free for our doctors .

She received her preliminary education in Malta. She completed her entire obstetrics and gynaecology training in the South Thames London deanery rotational training programme, UK. She is a Member and Fellow of The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, RCOG London. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, RSPH. She has publications in peer reviewed journals and has published chapters in text books. Her article Pregnancy outcome following bariatric surgery was published on BBC website (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-20979355). She is also a Professor at New Vision University Georgia and playing an important role in establishing the UK Faculty. She completed her Integrated leadership programme from Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.

Lorraine West 

Director of Operations 

Lorraine is the Director of operations at appraisals4doctors. She has a wealth of administrative, managerial and operational experience of working in NHS, PCTs, CCGs, diagnostic centre and private health sector. She has been trained in specialist service design at a leading Harley Street Practice. She has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and oversees our daily operations.

Ms Shadie Tajfar
Administrative support 

Shadie is highly experienced and provides day to day organisational and operational support to our team. She is highly organised, self motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. She has invaluable administrative experience in the health care settings and day to day working with consultants, doctors and patients in health sector.
